UK Children's Hospital
Unveils New Name and Logo
The University of Kentucky Children's Hospital has changed its name to Kentucky Children's Hospital to reflect how the hospital services children throughout the state. In 2004, the hospital saw patients from each of Kentucky's 120 counties.
Foundation Accomplishments – The List Continues To Grow!
Since it's formation in 2001, The Makenna Foundation has generated funds for the Kentucky Children's Hospital, totaling over $500,000! Listed below are the four major milestones the foundation has accomplished.
2001: Fundraising for the construction of the Children's Wall
2002: Fundraising for the purchase of children's bronchoscope
2003: Fundraising for construction of the Sedation and Therapy room
2004-2006: Fundraising for construction of Pediatric Emergency Services Center
In honor of the life of Makenna David, this Foundation will give hope, joy and courage to the children and families who are served by the caring professionals of the Kentucky Children's Hospital.
